SIMPLE FRIED RICE

๐Ÿ•’ Cook time: 20 minutes

๐Ÿ“ Prepare time: 10 minutes


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup rice

  • 2 Tablespoon oil

  • 1  onion, chopped

  • 1  carrot, diced

  • 2 celery stalkers, diced

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • ยฝ cup of peas, defrosted

  • Soy sauce

METHOD:

Cook rice according to packet or I have inserted a handy YouTube tutorial below.

Heat 1 TB of oil in a fry pan. Sautรจ chopped onions in oil. Fry until translucent (clear). Pour eggs into pan and fry so that it forms omelette. Once cooked roll up and place on a chopping board. Slice rolled egg into strips.

Fried+Rice+Recipes+for+teens

Heat 1 TB of oil in frying pan. Add cooked rice and fry, stirring on occasion. Add soya sauce and stir to make sure that all the rice is covered. Do not sure the rice too much or it will go mushy.

Put veggies and egg back into pan. Cook for a further couple of minutes - I like my veggies crunchy, but if you dont you can cook for longer.

When finished put in your favourite bowl and enjoy.

Fried+Rice+Recipe+for+teenagers

If you don't have fresh vegetables you can use frozen mixed veggies. Sometimes I add cooked meat or prawns, it depends on what is in the freezer to use. The only limitation with this recipe is your imagination!
