Advocacy
I recognise my own privilege and have a drive and desire to utilise this with my own lived experiences to support and amplify the voices of people who aren't at the table. My ultimate goal is to build the bridge so that everyone can have a seat at the table to share their own voice.
Experiences in the community/advocacy space:
Rangatahi Voices Forum — Waikato Regional Council Youth Council. Design crew member and Chair for two terms (2020 - 2025)
The Hive — Curative and The Ministry of Youth Development. Youth advisor to the MYD and other public service organisations (2024 - 2025)
Voices of Hope Co-Design group. Working with other youth to shape VoH future projects and direction (2025)
Waikato University Student Union Board. Pacific Director in 2024 and General board Director in 2025 (2024 - 2025)
Rangatahi Rise — Mental Health Foundation. Rangatahi Rise school programme and Youth Advisory Group Co-ordinator
And being a trustee, board member or advisor for other previous groups like Seed Waikato (2019 - 2025), Waikato Women's' Fund (2020-2023) and Inspiring Stories (2023 - 2025).
